Red Sox Head To Baltimore

The Boston Red Sox took two out of three this weekend in Tampa Bay against the Rays. David Price pitched out of the bullpen yesterday, throwing two innings in the 3-2 lost to Tampa. The Red Sox lead in the AL East is three games with 13 to play.

Tonight they begin a three game series with the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. The Red Sox have had a tough time with the Orioles all season, but hopefully they can at least take two out of three this week. The pitching matchups starting tonight is Doug Fister going against Dylan Bundy, Drew Pomeranz going against Kevin Gausman, and for the final game of the series it’s Chris Sale going against Wade Miley.

Doug Fister comes into tonight’s game at 5-8  with a  4.40 ERA and 69 strikeouts. Dylan Bundy is 13-9 with a 4.03 ERA and 150 strikeouts. Tommorow night Drew Pomeranz who’s having a great season at 16-5 with a 3.28 ERA and 122 strikeouts. Kevin Gausman is 11-10 with a 4.83 ERA and 158 strikeouts. Wednesday Chris Sale who’s 16-7 with a 2.86 ERA and 287 strikeouts. Wade Miley is 8-13 with a 5.32 ERA and 132 strikeouts.

Mookie Betts is day to day but he hopes to be playing in tonight’s game. We’ll find out more later today if he’s in the game tonight or not but as long as the bats come alive and they at least take two out of three they should be good so the Yankees don’t catch them in the division. The Yankees also play tonight as they start a series with the Minnesota Twins.
