The Red Sox have solidified their coaching staff with a familiar face for new manager, Alex Cora.

The bullpen coach vacancy has been unfilled since, now pitching coach, Dana Levangie was promoted.

Craig Bjornson was the bullpen coach for the Houston Astros over the past few seasons and has agreed to become the next bullpen coach with the Red Sox.

Bjornson began his coaching career in 1999 with the Vermont Expos (Expos affiliate). He’s also spent time with the Brevard Country Mantatees (Miami Marlins), the Ogden Raptors (LA Dodgers), and the Casper Ghosts (Rockies) prior to joining the Astros organization in 2012.

He spent two seasons as the bullpen coach, was replaced under new leadership, and then rehired under AJ Hinch.
