There were rumors released earlier today that JD Martinez was asked to meet alone with an unspecified team.
It was confirmed by Jon Heyman that the Red Sox are that team.
JD Martinez is expected to meet with the Red Sox and others when he arrives in Orlando.

The Red Sox have made it very clear that they are interested in bringing a power bat to the middle of their order. JD Martinez would certainly be that option.
Earlier today, Dave Dombrowski made it very clear that he knows exactly who they are targeting. With JD Martinez being the first individual meeting of the Winter Meetings, it is very possible that JD is that player.

Manager Alex Cora will also join the meeting.
Dave Dombrowski acquired Martinez when he was in Detroit and it would be of little surprise if the two reunited in Boston.
