Red Sox reportedly agree to a one-year deal with Eduardo Nunez

The Red Sox have reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with infielder Eduardo Nunez.  Nunez’s deal includes an option for 2019.  The deal is pending a physical.

Nunez is coming off a pretty good year.  The Red Sox acquired Nunez via trade at the trade deadline from the San Francisco Giants.  With the Red Sox, Nunez had a slash line of .321/.353/.539.

Nunez can play many different positions, which will be huge for the Red Sox.  With Dustin Pedroia being questionable to play to begin the season, Nunez will be able to fill the void at second base for the Sox.

I like this move a lot.  I am very glad that Dombrowski and the Red Sox front office got this deal done.  I think Nunez will be able to help the team out a lot this season.  I am just hoping that this isn’t the only move the Red Sox make.
