Do you remember when every blog post I wrote last season was about how poorly the Red Sox offense was? Well, a season later and I am blown away by this offense. Last night, the bats were just red-hot. You could tell right from the start that the Red Sox were going to have one of those nights.
Mookie Betts had an outstanding game last night. The guy had four hits and a grand slam. J.D. Martinez just about hit a grand slam sending a ball to deep center off the wall. Andrew Benintendi had a couple hits and couple RBIs. Hanley Ramirez had a three RBI night. It was just a magical night at Fenway Park.

Chris Sale looked incredible tonight. His slider was filthy and he was just dominant. He only gave up one run which was a Aaron Judge homer. Other than that, he looked terrific on the mound tonight. He has just looked fantastic this season and I am hoping he can keep it up.
I know it is probably super early to be saying this, but this Red Sox team just feels different. They are enjoying themselves out there and having fun. That is a great sign and I’m hoping they can do this all season. Usually, the more fun you are having, the more winning you are doing.
After the first two series’ of the season, a ton of people were coming after the Red Sox for not playing anyone in their first nine games and how they didn’t have any ‘competition’. Well, after hearing that, it feels great to put up 14 runs against the Yankees.
Let’s hope for the same result tomorrow night as David Price looks to continue his great season and pick up another win for this team.
Final Score: Red Sox 14, Yankees 1
