Tonight’s Red Sox Hitter / Pitcher matchups are brought to you by Sox Signatures.
If you missed it, the Red Sox & Yankees rivalry was reignited last night at Fenway.
It’s felt like ages since there’s been a rivalry between the two teams. Throughout the last decade, the rivalry has only been driven by the media. Lately, it has even seemed like the Orioles have been a bigger rival.
Though David Price was bumped early from his start, the Red Sox never seemed out of it. With the score of 8-1 at one time, it quickly became 8-6 with one swing of JD’s bat for the team’s 3rd grand slam of the season.
Porcello on the bump today. Two starts in, he is 2-0 with a 2.84 ERA. In 12.2 innings, he’s walked only 1 batter while striking out 11.
