Red Sox 10, Orioles 3: Another big day for the Red Sox offense

It is safe to say that this team is on a roll right now.  I love when this offense jumps right out of the gate scoring runs early in the game.  It seems like the team has been doing that for the last week now.  This game had a lot of positive notes in it.  The only bad thing that happened was Mookie Betts leaving the game with an injury.  But, according to reports, he is fine.

Hector Velazquez made his second start of the season yesterday and looked pretty good.  He went five innings, striking out five batters and giving up two earned runs.  If we can get this kind of stuff out of Velazquez all year, that would be fantastic.

The offense was just relentless yesterday.  In Hanley Ramirez’s first at-bat since taking a game off from injury, he smacked a home run over the monster.  After yesterday’s game, Hanley leads the MLB in RBI.  The guy that is second in RBI in the MLB is also on the Red Sox… J.D. Martinez.  Martinez started off pretty slow, but has been heating up lately.  I mean he is always hitting the ball hard it seems like.  It was just right at guys to begin the season.

Jackie Bradley Jr. also made this amazing grab yesterday:

I am starting to believe that any ball that is even remotely close to JBJ, will be caught.

The Red Sox look to continue their winning streak today as they play the Orioles again at 1:05 PM ET.  It is Sale Day and I am hoping that it is going to be another fun one.

Final Score: Red Sox 10, Orioles 3
