The Red Sox are set to start their three game series tonight against the New York Yankees

With both teams being off to hot starts this season, this will be a very exciting series to watch. It will be a head-to-head matchup with the two best records in baseball. This series is a big one for this Red Sox team. On top of that all, is the bad blood they have between each other. There might be some retaliation, but who knows. One thing is for certain and that is I’m pumped.

Opponent Record

Head-to-head Record

The Yankees are the hottest team in baseball right now.  They are smashing right now (Didi Gregorius – 10 HR, Gary Sanchez – 9 HR, Aaron Judge – 8 HR, Giancarlo Stanton – 7 HR) and have just been on a tear the last couple of weeks. This is going to be a tough series for the Red Sox and will show a lot about this team.

Things to Watch

  • Drew Pomeranz – Will the lefty break out of his slump and turn things around in his start tonight?
  • The bottom lineup of the Red Sox – The bottom of the lineup for the Red Sox has been really frustrating later, so hopefully they can come out of their slump.
  • Bench brawl – Will the Yankees retaliate?
