A look at the three-game series that is set to begin tonight against the Rays

Coming off a series win, the Red Sox look to win another series and try to separate themselves in the division.  The Red Sox have played really well lately.  Hopefully, they can keep it up.

Opponent Record

22-23

Head-to-Head Record

6-3

Performance

In all honesty, the Rays are playing pretty well so far this season.  They are playing a lot better than what many people thought they would.  They have won six of their last seven games, so they are pretty hot.  Tonight is the first time the Rays have been at home in awhile.  They just finished a pretty long road trip, so they will be ready to play at home.

Pitching Matchups

5/22: Chris Sale vs. Jacob Faria, 7:10 PM ET

5/23: David Price vs. Chris Archer, 7:10 PM ET

5/24: Drew Pomeranz vs. Blake Snell, 7:10 PM ET

Things to Watch

  • David Price is coming off his best start of his career in Boston.  Can he carry the momentum into his start on Wednesday and have another nice outing?
  • The last time Chris Sale was in Tampa pitching was when the Red Sox wasted his terrific outing and lost on Opening Day.  Can he perform as well as he did on Opening Day again in Tampa?
  • Blake Snell pitched really well against the Red Sox in his last start against the team.  Can the Red Sox bats get it going against him?
