World Series MVP Steve Pearce Signs One-Year Deal to Stay in Boston

According to a report from Jeff Passan, Steve Pearce is headed back to Boston on a one-year deal worth $6.25M.

After winning over the hearts of Red Sox Nation this postseason, many fans wanted to see Steve Pearce back in a Red Sox uniform in the 2019 season.  Dave Dombrowski made sure that would happen and inked a deal with the first baseman very early in the off-season.

I really like this move.  Like Passan mentioned in his tweet, you want to keep the core of a championship team together.  Bringing back Pearce is just the first move the Red Sox want to make this off-season.  Nathan Eovaldi next!
