According to Robert Murray from The Athletic, Red Sox negotiations with Nathan Eovaldi are heating up.

To be honest with you, this report surprised me.  After the Patrick Corbin signing yesterday, I did expect the Nate Eovaldi market to heat up, but not in favor of the Red Sox.

I really expected the Yankees to turn all of their attention to Eovaldi (which still might be the case) since missing out on Corbin.  I was actually going to write a piece up on how I thought Corbin signing with the Nationals will hurt the Red Sox.  Well, it sounds like Dave Dombrowksi is making sure that doesn’t happen and is going to try and sign Eovaldi sooner, rather than later.

If you listen to the podcast, you know how much I want Eovaldi back on the Red Sox.  I think it’s safe to say he won over the hearts of Red Sox Nation during the postseason, so everyone wants the guy back.  The move I want to happen the most this off-season is for the Red Sox to bring him back and if Dombrowski can get that done here soon, I will be one happy man.

I will be sure to keep you updated on Eovaldi news, so stay tuned!
