As there will be plenty of Red Sox news to cover, stay tuned for highlights from around Fort Myers.
With the Red Sox set to begin Spring Training action this afternoon, players are firing on all cylinders to prepare for game scenarios. As many have mentioned, the Sox bullpen remains one of the bigger question marks headed into the season with the looming departure of Craig Kimbrel.
Thankfully, for Alex Cora‘s club, they have a future replacement waiting in camp. Durbin Feltman will seek to make the Opening Day roster, but it hasn’t been a calendar year since his draft selection. There are many that argue he should take his time in the minors, but there’s little doubt that he could contribute immediately.
Feltman may not be the closer to begin the season, but you’ll see the TCU product entering the ninth inning in the near future. Here’s his bullpen session from the other day with credit to Christopher Smith of MassLive.
Additionally, it would be negligent if we didn’t express our sincerest condolences in the passing of the Boston Globe’s, Nick Cafardo. He was one of the Red Sox’ most respected writers and personally aided us in our efforts to launch the Jerry Remy project.
He will be missed tremendously.
