The Red Sox are actively discussing possible trades of catcher Sandy Leon, @MarlyRiveraESPN and I have heard from sources.

As we continue to get closer to opening day, everyone expected to hear some news regarding one of the three Red Sox catchers sometime soon.
On Thursday, ESPN’s Buster Olney reported that the Red Sox are “actively discussing” trades involving catcher Sandy Leon.
Earlier this off-season, Dave Dombrowski said that his plan was to go into the start of the season carrying only two catchers, meaning one of them would either be traded or released.
I have said all season that Blake Swihart was the odd man out. I didn’t expect Leon to be traded, just because of his good relationships with the Red Sox pitching staff.
If I had to guess, if the Red Sox were to trade one of their catchers it will look to get some starting pitching depth or a high-end reliever.
