Red Sox, Chris Sale agree to contract extension

It’s now official. The Red Sox have reportedly reached an agreement to a contract extension with Chris Sale. The deal is reportedly to be five years, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that the deal is in the $150 million range, pending a physical.
