It was a modest offseason for the defending World Series champions, but the primary move was to retain their postseason hero, Nathan Eovaldi. The mid-season acquisition performed valiantly throughout his tenure in Boston and endeared himself to fans during his extra innings loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Dave Dombrowski wasted little time in retaining the hard-throwing right hander, and he’ll make his 2019 debut tonight in Seattle.

The Red Sox will look to rebound after a shaky start to the young season in which Chris Sale was touched for three homeruns, and seven earned runs. Perhaps it was rust, but it was a poor start and a rough sight for Sox fans everywhere.

First pitch is scheduled for 10 PM EST.
