Graciously, the Red Sox are just four days away from their home opener. Plus on Monday is a much needed day off. It’s still unfathomable that they began the season with eleven straight games of playing. The defending WS Champs look to turn the page & regroup, and focus on winning their first series of the season. Cora was visibly and vocally frustrated after last night’s game, that included more defensive and base running mistakes.

Rick Porcello takes the mound for Sox in his second start of the season. Unless something disastrous happens, would have to expect that tonight’s start will be an improvement. This past Sunday the 7-1 Seattle Mariners roughed him up big time to a tune of 9 Runs (4 ER) off of 6 Hits and 4 Walks in 2.2 innings. Now entering their 9th game of the season, a Sox starter is still striving to not give up a single homerun. The Diamondbacks offense ranks 2nd in the NL, 14 overall.

Zack Godley takes the ball for the D-Backs. Godley, like Porcello, got a rude welcome to the season as the Dodgers barraged him 8 Runs (7 ER) off of 8 hits in 5.1 innings. The Soon to be 29 year old righty is coming off from his first season of making thirty starts in the majors. While he did a tremendous job of keeping the ball in the park (16 HRs in 178.1 innings), and racking up 185 Ks…. he also registered a 4.74 ERA and walked 81 batters, giving him a 1.45 WHIP.
