In a strange lineup, Christian Vazquez will start at second base

Well, this is interesting.

Today is Marathon Monday in Boston, which means first pitch will be at 11:05 AM ET as the Red Sox face off against the Orioles.

With an illness and wanting to get a break for some guys, Alex Cora decided to shake things up for today’s lineup and it’s a good one. Dustin Pedroia will be in the DH spot, Mookie Betts will be playing center, Steve Pearce will be playing left, and Christian Vazquez will be playing second base!

To be honest, I have no idea what is going on, but I am excited to see how this lineup pans out today. I am extremely pumped to see Christian Vazquez play second base. It’s definitely going to be an odd sight. He has one career start at second in Single A, let’s hope for the best!
