Seven months ago, the Astros were in Boston. Houston was the all around favorite, but they were bested in just five games. This catch sealed their fate in the end.

The Astros, like the Red Sox, got off to a dreadful start to the season. But no surprise with their talent, currently hold the best record in the AL (29-15). The Sox while having a record of 23-20, have been one of the hottest teams in baseball. They have gone 17-7 in their last 24 games.

Rick Porcello takes the mound for the Sox. Since April 20th he has been on a solid run. Last Saturday’s outing where he gave up 4 ER, was the first time he had done so since April 5th (7 ER outing in Arizona). His start against Seattle was still all in all a solid one. Those four runs all came in the first inning. That was all she wrote for Seattle, as he gutted out 6.2 innings.

Gerrit Cole takes the ball for the Astros. Cole is off to a fantastic start to the 2019 season, having struck out 86 batters in 55.2 innings. Those 86 Ks, FYI, lead all of MLB. In his ten starts, there has been only two in which he has given up more than 3 ER. In a win against Kansas City, he gave up 4 ER. The other start is what skewers his season ERA of 3.88, that start he was pounded for 9 Runs (8 ER) in just 4.1 inning against the Rangers.
