6/17 Pitchers Vs Hitters Matchups: Taking on the Twins in Minnesota

It took them a bit, but the Sox have finally gotten to five games over .500. In this current five game winning streak, the roster up & down has really battled at times to gut out wins. Even if they’re facing the worst team in baseball, the Orioles still reminded them that they’re facing major league players.

Yesterday’s game saw them sloppily give up the lead in the bottom of the 8th inning. But the Sox offense rebounded with six runs the next two innings, all starting with Marco Hernandez’s game tying 9th inning shot. Josh Smith’s magic from last week wore off quickly as he gave up three runs in the bottom of the 10th, but thankfully the Orioles’ bats could do nothing further.
