The 2019 season today mercifully comes to an end. Despite facing the 107 loss Orioles, the Sox have lost the first two games of the series. Today while the majority of New England watches the Patriots, they look to salvage a win in front of their last home crowd until April 2, 2020. No telling what the opening day roster will look like to the Fenway Faithful. Free agents set to test the market are Rick Porcello, Brock Holt, Mitch Moreland, Steve Pearce (contemplating retirement), Andrew Cashner, Chris Owings and J.D. Martinez could opt out. Not to mention the never ending buzz of Mookie being traded…

Eduardo Rodriguez takes the mound for the Red Sox, looking for his 20th Win of the season. His last start actually saw him having the worst outing of the year, giving up 7 ER in five innings. Thankfully the Sox bats backed him up, scoring 12 Runs off of the Rangers pitching staff. Now it seems fitting that he looks for his 20th Win of the season, against the team that traded him away for Andrew Miller.

Chandler Shepherd takes the ball for the Orioles. The former Red Sox prospect was released by the club in May of this season, and was claimed off of waivers by the Orioles shortly after. In his first taste of the majors, he has produced a 7.71 ERA in 4 games (2 starts). Shepherd’s major league debut was a solid effort, allowing just one run in four innings in a relief outing facing the Yankees.
