Red Sox are reportedly looking to trade Jackie Bradley Jr.

According to the Boston Globe’s Pete Abraham, the Red Sox are actively looking to trade outfielder Jackie Bradley. Abraham reports that the Red Sox were in contact with the Mets about a trade before the Mets traded for Jake Marisnick.

The Red Sox are not engaged in any talks with their current free agents

Pete Abraham also reported yesterday that the Red Sox are not looking to bring back any of their current free agents. However, he does state that the Red Sox are keeping tabs on them. This report contradicts the Boston Herald’s report on Sunday. Citing an industry source, Jason Mastrodonato reported that the Red Sox were interested in a reunion with starter Rick Porcello. The Mets have also been rumored to be engaged in talks with Porcello.

Red Sox interested in reliever Sergio Romo

According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Red Sox are among teams interested in reliever Sergio Romo. Heyman reports that Romo will likely be signed this week at the winter meetings. Romo played under Bloom in 2017 and 2018.
